Well it took a little longer than a few weeks. But finally I have the first three video tutorials ready for viewing! There is still more to come, but this should be enough to get you started.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have any questions about installation, I've created a thread on the creative crash forums. You can get to it from the Servo Tools For Maya download page . Just click on the forum tab.
Enjoy!

well after googling, motion control rig and coming across your plans from april - and then viewing your tutorials ==== pretty damn impressive
Thanks for the props Brian! Glad you liked it.
Hello Dan,
someone pointed out your blog to me - I have been aware of your "Kupertools" as some of my friends at Weta alerted me to it. I would like to talk to you about adding our new Mk lll Genuflex to the program. Maybe we can help you with something? We purchased Kuper Controls from Bill Tondreau a few years ago and perhaps we could make a trade
All the best
Joe
Hi Joe,
Sounds very interesting. Feel free to contact me on frankenegger \/at\/ geeMale dotCom. I'd be keen to hear what you have in mind?

Hi;
I did all the steps that are mentioned in the 3 videos of Servo Tools For Maya Tutorials, but when I activate the plugin servoWrite on Maya 2009 Unlimited it gives me: / / Error: (servoWrite), but when I close python.exe, it's work,
What should I do ?

It's an honor to get a mention :)
Hey Dan,
I finally had a chance to look at this the other day and its great- I got the 3 servos working fine, but I was interested in adding more. I had a look through the plugin and the arduino code and made all the changes that seemed like it would change it, but no luck. Can you point me to the places in the code that defines this? thanks again
Nick
That's amazing! I have an Arduino, and I'll have a Servo soon after watching ur demo.
Hi there, i just got everything up and working on my mac, getting the system paths for python was a pain i can tall you. Anyway, I really want to get a couple of stepper motors up and going and was wondering how the stepper motor project was coming on.
thanks for the brilliant work:)
Hi Johnathon,
Sorry, but the stepper motor project is not really happening for me at the moment. If I ever tried to get it working I would choose a different piece of hardware that is better equipped to deal with parallel processes. I would probably choose the propeller chip or the kflop board. I have both but the kflop is most appealing to me at the moment.
At the moment, one of my focuses is on getting a working rig built over tinkering with code.
I need to balance these things out to keep me from going insane :)
This is amazing! I am currently doing a school project with something similar and am wondering if this would work with a DC motor that's attached to a potentiometer. Could you contact me if you have any ideas about where I should start?
